I recently had an ectopic pregnancy which was treated with one shot of Methotrexate. I was very early into the pregnancy - around 4 weeks - and my HCG levels were very low (about 1900). My hormone levels are dropping appropriately (it was only 7 days ago and my levels are down to 1500.) and I wondered how long other people had waited before trying to conceive again? I have been told that "right away", 2 cycles and 3 cycles would be an OK waiting time.
Also, I am nursing my daughter. I was told to pump and dump for a week, which I have done. Two doctors have told me that 7 days is quite enough and that tomorrow I can nurse again, but my husband is very concerned, to the point where he wonders if I should wean her completely (although strangely he is happy to TTC right away, which seems inconsistent.) Anyway, if anyone has had experience with methotrexate I would love to hear your thoughts.
