my dd is almost 6 mos. old and i'm ready to ttc again (as soon as dh returns from deployment in feb.) , but obviously shes still nursing. so my question is can u ovulate and not have a period? b/c i have had the ewcm but no AF??? so i don't know if i'm ovulating or not?? i started keeping a cm chart but am i wasting my time if im not even ovulating?? thanks for anything you can give me!!

i am sure that you can because i have heard countless times of women getting pg when they were bf'ing and not getting af yet. i know two irl.

You can get pg while breastfeeding, and you can ovulate, then get pg, without ever getting af (if you "catch" the first postpartum egg).

You could head over to Nursing Mamas getting pregnant in December and join a group of wonderful mamas some of whom are actively ttc and some of whom are waiting for their first postpartum ovulation.
