Folic Acid:
Bare minimum of 400mcg.
800 mcg would be better.

Get a prenatal vitamin from the health food store. It'll be higher quality and more easily absorbed by your body. The cheap kind from the grocery store are harder for your body to absorb and use, they are also more likely to upset your stomach (well, that's how it is for me anyways!)

Why not get Dr. Sears pregnancy book?

I like "The Complete Book of Pregnancy and Childbirth" by Sheila Kitzinger.
I like almost anything by Sheila Kitzinger actually!
