Does anyone use TTO for dandruff? How do you use it? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but TTO is anti-fungal too right?

When I could go to my dermotologist I had a prescription for Nizoral that I would shampoo with and use on my face (for my dry flaky spots). I'm wondering if I could use TTO for the same thing. On my TTO bottle it says not to use full strength on face. Does anyone know what concentration to use?

Thanks.

i have a bad problem with the dry skin areas as well. Have u ever tried olive oil. Iuse it twice a week on myself and on my son in the tub. JUst put a capful in the running water get all wet hair and all then put a nickle size amount in your hand rub into your scalp use a soft bristle brush and gently comb/brush the scalp. BE sure to wash well with whatever shampoo u use. It shoulnd't be to greasy. Works great for us, just a suggestion. Good luck.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll try it. I have Paul Mitchell Shampoo with TTO, but I don't think the concentration is high enough. DH loves it b/c he thinks it smells like peppermint patties. LOL

Thanks for the Olive Oil suggestion, but my dermotologist said that the dry spots on my face are caused by the same thing that causes dandruff and she had prescribed Nizoral for it. So if I find a good TTO shampoo that works on my scalp, I'll try it on my face.

I don't have an answer for your TTO question, but here's a shampoo made by a small one-woman company that I've used for years that just ROCKS for dandruff control

www.autograf.com

It's the Dare to Wear Black one. I don't even get dandruff anymore but I still use this shampoo because it is so kind to my hair.

Just thought I'd throw that out there in case it's something you could use.
