I had come across this or a product like it at infant GERD site online when I was researching treatment for my son's reflux. I never ordered one but an internet search got me this web site with an order form. Doubtless there are others or other products like it if you have the time to browse the internet. Good luck with your search.

We used a foam wedge, nothing near that extreme though, and then placed it on another angled surface. Think closer to 20 or 30 degree tilt. Ds did well on it until he became too wiggly and then he slid down even that small slope. But, then again, Ds also tended towards the "silent reflux" end of the continuum so he didn't spit up much.

I ended up getting the a.r. sling emma is almost 3 months adjusted age and is a wiggler. I'm hoping it works!

BUMP

*typing one handed, excuse the grammar/punctuation*

I think Daegan's reflux is worse than I initially thought...but I'm not sure....he's 15w CA, and 6w AA. He was on pepcid/reglan in NICU for 'suspected reflux' b/c of As and Bs....but fairly soon after that he was septic and the docs weren't sure if it was sepsis As/Bs or from reflux....they took him off reflux meds before sending him home...got home, seems ok...but 'snotty' when laying down...had some bouts with sourmilk smell/spitting up/abd pain...started reglan again and started really watching my diet and keeping him upright after feeds. He's been back on reglan for a few wks now...no dairy in my diet for a little over a week, no spicy foods/tomato sauce (
)....the daytime reflux seems much improved or gone...no sourmilk smell, less spit up (seems to be normal baby amt...few drops) but during the day he's always upright or in a carseat/vibraseat (no vibrations).

at night he sleeps in our bed and sounds 'snotty.' I think I hear the reflux coming up into his nasopharynx...he seems ok and will sleep for ~3-5 hours, but then it wakes him up frequently (and me as well)...past two nights/days I've noticed more choking/gagging...he'll act hungry (but still be snotty sounding) and when feeding, will choke/gag...it's not every feeding, but definitely more when it seems somethings wrong. What I do when he sounds bad is I move to the glider and keep him upright (head up on my shoulder) and he's go right to sleep....like he was tired but couldn't sleep. I feel bad for him. And I need more sleep! We can take short bed naps, like ~1-2 h during the day but that's not enough uninterrupted sleep!

I have a mini co-sleeper that I've elevated the head....but he won't sleep in it...I don't really know how to transition him to it either...DH won't let me elevate our bed...what about the wedges? Do they work? Does it sound like this is the next step I should try? Should I head back to the ped??

Sorry it's so disjointed...I'm tired!

The wedges do work for alot of babies. so does elevating the crib or letting you baby sleep in a swing or bouncer. I recently got a tucker sling and like that is can be used on a regular crib as well. I would try it before adding more medications in, personally.

We elvated his co sleeper more...I think we're going to get a sling. We also added Axid...he grunts, kicks and groans even if I keep him upright. And since he'ss still refluxing, we figured decreasing the acidity too should help?

The doc is talking about starting cereal at 4 month chron age to help keep the food in the stomach...I'm not sure how I feel about it...he said if I was bottle feeding, he would've already had me add it to the bottles.

I gave Daegan 4 oz of Pedialyte for his evening feed b/c my milk was upsetting him (tomato sauce) and he slept the best ever after that....but he was also in his seat...not in bed.

He just seems to be getting a little worse each day. I really thought we were done since the osteo cleared. Poor little buddy!
