We turned our heat on about 5 or 6 weeks ago. We had an early cold snap, which really dropped the temps. in our house. We set the thermostat at 52 at night and 62-64 during the day. I told Dh that I need it a bit warmer than he prefers to keep it. I have a hard time warming up once I get really chilled, and my hands and feet really ache. Because of that, we turned our heat on earlier than we might otherwise have done.

We wear sweatshirts, long-sleeved shirts, sweatpants/jeans, socks/slippers, turtlenecks, etc. to help up conserve heat. The Dc sleep in warm pjs and have multiple layers of blankets to keep them warm during the night.

When we're gone on trips we keep the heat as low as 45, just warm enough to keep everything from freezing.
