Slippers amd socks make a huge difference, I joke that I put on a turtleneck in October and keep it on til May. What gets me cold is damp and as it has been poring steadily for two weeks now here in the rainforest we have been using the woodstove at night. Keeps the damp off. my outfit at this time of year is wool socks, cotton underwear - wool if it is freezing, turtleneck, turtleneck wool sweater with zip at neck in case I get too hot and aliays something on my feet. We use an oil filled space heater in the livingroom for morning if it is not cold enough for wood heat and heat no other rooms in our house at this time. I have arthritis in one anke and can't move it if it is too cold!
