hey all! up too early on a Saturday AM, in my opinion...ok, i guess it is the kids' regular rising time, but since they went to bed later than usual, due to our attendence of the Saints' game, i was hoping they'd sleep later. oh well!

anybody going to SG today? considering going, then going over to the nearby park to play...

We're going (G & I anyhow). I've also heard from W'smama, O'smama, & Q'spapa LOL) that they're going.

DH is finally getting his outdoor burner setup going, so he's working on a 10 gallon batch of beer. Whee.

My dh is in house project land, so we are doing more of those...The Re-use it center is 40% through tomorrow, plus light rail is free this weekend, plus we didn't quite get around to celebrating the Solstice, so we are having a belated celebration (I know we are goof balls).

Anyone know of a place of business that would like a Hair poster? Only thing is - they HAVE to go in the business till the show closes (they're really cool posters, so are disappearing)! Then once August is here, it's yours to keep. If you know for sure of places that would display it and want to take one, let me know & I'll get them to you somehow.
Batty - yeah, you definitely HAVE to come to this one! And the rest of you too, if you'd like - I'd love to see ya there. Runs from July 9-Aug1 at The Pantages Theatre http://www.hennepintheatredistrict.com/ I can't get comps (sorry - it's downtown ya know) but you could get a group rate if you had a large enough group (& no, I have no idea how many constitutes a group). Otherwise, the prices aren't that bad - better than the typical B'way tours which are only half as good at twice the price

One caveat - don't come if easily offended. no kiddos.

oh, the Oliviasmama's ignored post was at the end of last week's thread - I don't think she's offended, was just kidding.

Big question for my 38wks preggo sis: she's having these weird feelings that come in waves and may last for 1-24 hrs. She becomes short of breath and her head feels strange. Like "air or empty sinuses" she says and she calls it "like a bad euphoria" or a panic attack - except she says it no longer scares her so she's not panicking. It's in the front of her head, her heart feels fine, and it doesn't go away if she changes position or lays down. Anyone have a clue? She's a typical stoic Swede & unlikely to go in to Dr unless she is convinced it's important enough to bother one.

Sorry, no SG for us today, we were riding the rails! We live 10 blocks from the Lake St station and walked over there. P had fun in the sling, and after an hour wait!?! to get on the train, we took it downtown and walked to all the downtown stations. All in all, we spent 5 hours enjoying the party. P slumped over and slept in the sling towards the end and we changed his diaper at Neiman Marcus

I'm such a transit junkie, this was like my birthday!

Hey all you wonderful mamas!

I thought you might like to know how preperations for your gathering are going. This is going to be so great and if you all aren't registered yet, the time has come! We are still working hard and you know there are only 22 days until it begins.

We have some great help from local mamas and I want to give an extra special thanks to KJ who is helping us to find food to feed you all lunches!

Zazamama is our volunteer coordinater, so even though she is in the middle of planning a move, she is the mama to e-mail if you find it in your heart to help us out.

And you know there is a potluck on Friday night at loring park and you all are such fabulous cooks, we are to get your help in feeding everyone that night. Mamas from all over the contry will say not only are the Twin Cities mamas the best, most friendly, coolest mamas we have met, but they can *cook*!

Feel free to e-mail or PM me with question and check out the website for continued updates. Thanks for all the help up to this point and in the future. We cannot do this without you!

Oh I am such a dork that I did not know what post was ignored.

Snow one idea for the poster would be Better than Ever consignment store. It is on 58th and Nicollet. They are open Wed - Sunday. Speaking of I bet she would do a 10% or something one of these days for MamaGathering. Someone let me know if I should ask.

Snow I am not an expert but I have heard many mamas saying that. I wonder if it is just anxiety. Another mama on a board I frequent wrote this last week and she is 36 weeks. So I am thinking it is normal, she later said she feels better now.

Willowsmomma~~Happy Birthday to Willow they grow up so fast, hope she has a good birthday

Nothing much new here, just had my 1st prenatel apt on friday and everything looks good, havent gained any weight which is fine. The doc didnt do the pap since I had on just in Nov and I didnt want it anyways not taking any chances this time. I go back at the end of July hoping to hear the heart beating we saw it on the u/s 2 weeks ago. Nathan burned his hand while over to my mom's house on Friday night so we put ice on it but he still got a big blister on his hand, when we got home yesterday he poped. So I called the nurse line and they said he had to come in to look at it so off we went to the urgent care at the hosp all the doc said was to keep antibodic ointment on it and keep it covered for 5 days but Nathan dont want to keep a bandaid or anything on it, I did get him to keep a bandaid on it for about 1 hr today, I just have to keep trying i guess, I just dont want him to get an infection in that burn.

O's mama -- been meaning to call you, our home is empty of relatives (we hosted 5 of them!!), so we are ready to come over and play. Also, we will cook something up for the Friday night potluck.

We rode the train today, woo hoo, that was fun! But PACKED!

Everyone enjoy the last of the cool weather, summer is forecasted to return!

Y'know--after having miss "hold me up, hold me out, I have to be verticle and see what is happening" Olivia, it is still a shock to have such a cuddle baby. He's all aobu thte cuddle and loves to hang out in the sling and sleep. Makes it much easier to type!
