When did your twins have their growth spurts??

Mine will be 8mo next week and are still on mama milk only. The last 3 days have been nursing marathons. Nursing every 1.5 to 2 hours day and night! I'm really hoping it's just a growth spurt and not something that's to continue!

Hello MamaRabbit!
My heart goes out to you. My little guys just turned 11 months and they still nurse so frequently! They didn't really start eating solids until 10 months or so. I'm not sure when they have growth spurts because they nurse often it's so hard to tell!! I know with one of my older kids he nursed every two hours-even at night until about 18 months when he weaned at night. I do know that the twins have started nursing quite a bit less now that they're eating more solids. Hang in there! It's so hard when you're in the thick of it to see an end in site. Now I need to take my own advice!! I keep reminding myself to enjoy this time cause it goes by so quickly!

I remember that mine followed the twin growth spurts outlined in the Mothering Multiples book till about 6 months, after that I don't recall them being so distinctive (except around their birthdays), but mine still nursed 24/7 for quite a long while (every 1.5 to 2 hours) - so it was all generally haze.

Truly, 8-18 months felt like one long, never ending growth spurt.
