My friend's two year old son has only his front top two and front bottom two teeth. She is very concerned. Her pediatrician says not to worry. Anyone dealt with this? Could this indicate developmental problems?

I would ask a dentist, not a pediatrician. I don't know anything about that, I thought most kids had all 20 by that age?

I would definitly ask a dentist who is specilized or at least is good with children. This definitly isn't the 'norm', but it may be something that isn't an issue. However, if he just doesn't have any baby teeth, this could be a problem. They may need to do something (not sure what) to make sure there is room for his permanent teeth to come in.

This is a little different but my friend never got baby canine teeth. So she had to wear spacers so her baby teeth didn't grow itwords each other and not leave room for her permanent canines to come through.
