I know that it isn't uncommon for the ultrasound tech to perceive a gender only to have a surprised mama several months later. However, it seems to me, from the anecdotal experiences I have been exposed to through friends or online acquaintances that most of the gender "swapping" seems to be a girl who came out a boy.

Does anyone know of a "boy" during ultrasound who was actually a girl upon birth (or later u/s)? More of a curiosity question than anything, but I hear about the girl -> boy all the time yet it seems that I never hear about the converse.

Before DD was born I worked with a woman whose daughter was told at an early U/S that she was having a boy. They had a name, had 2 showers, decorated the room and then, at 36 weeks when she had another U/S they realized she was having a girl! I thought it was pretty funny but the mom was actually mad
This happened about 18 months ago. The same mom is due any day now with twin boys!
