Here are mine from today - 6 weeks 2 days gestation, singleton pregnancy, measuring at 6 weeks 1 day, crown rump length of 4.49 mm, fetal heart rate 119 bpm!
This one shows the gestational sac (big black blob) and the fetal pole...I think it's still a fetal pole, I'm not sure.
Pic # 2
There are two dots visible now, one is the head blob and one is the rest of the body blob. The head blog is the bigger of the two, these proportions tend to sort themselves out sometime around the child's second birthday, at which point most human babies are no longer more head than anything else.
I started crying as soon as I saw the flick! Flick! flick! of the heartbeat.
Sorry, my bad! MDC doesn't allow the pasting of a very long URL, it gets truncated and doesn't work, so it's important to use a hyperlink. They should work now!
I don't want to reinforce the idea that we should all be getting ultrasounds, and lots of people are choosing not to have any or to limit the number they're having, but maybe those folks would like to see where others ultrasounds look like so they can get an idea of what their own embryos and fetuses and babies look like.
So, we won't all participate, but that's true of the belly pics thread, too.
Papa, the best way to sticky a thread is to PM one of the mods of this forum and ask really nice
Also, as someone who does zero routine ultrasounds and limits doppler, I completely agree that this should be a sticky. I may not do them myself, but boy do I love living vicariously through those that do
aww, that's awesome. i'll be getting mine Tuesday so maybe i'll post. i typically like to get an initial u/s just to confirm a singleton pregnancy. somebody here is bound to have mutiples. and it better not be me. :b
Cute blob! But in the 2nd pic I think the bigger circle is actually the yolk sac maybe. I was a gestational surrogate a couple yrs ago and scrutinized the heck out of the u/s pics at that stage because the u/s tech said the yolk sac was abormally sized.
So of course, I went online to learn everything I could about yolk sacs (and wondered how I'd had 3 babies before and never even heard of a yolk sac lol).
Can't wait to add my pic to this thread! First u/s next week.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could
