Had the big ultrasound today- it's our first ultrasound, we missed the early one.

We found out that its a girl, with ten fingers and ten toes YAY, everything looks fine except for some patches on the kidneys which they said were kidney cysts, just on the left kidney.

They are not that common apparently (unlike choroid cysts) but they didn't look like they were too concerned. We are not worried (or at least staying calm) because we think these things can resolve on their own. I had cysts with my first daughter but she had choroid cysts and they went away with no probelm, and she also had dilated kidneys which also amounted to nothing. (even after all the worry the docs put me through grr...)

But this time I know not to worry unnecessarily and I reassured my partner not to worry either. I tried to google this but not a lot of information can be found, I also dont want the wrong information incase I scare myself. I would hate to not be able to sleep tonight wondering about all the possible outcomes that are a pure products of my fears and imagination.

So anyone heard of this? had this? know some good sources of info? I'm waiting until my next appointment to find out if they want to continue with another ultrasound to find out more detail about the cysts, but they also said they will have to scan the babies kidneys when she is born, unless it resolves on its own.
