I was planning a home birth (since stbx really can't "do" anything about it) I have felt from the very begining that this one needs as quiet a birth as I can provide. Now with the divorce I KNOW I don't/won't have the emotional energy to fight idiotic hospital policy. At my first appointment with my midwife last week she confirmed my suspission that my baby is breech (seems like one foot up and one down) but then we also heard placental tones really low.
: I visited my previous provider too and the MW there also said she thought the baby was breech with placental tones heard very low.

So tomorrow I get to have another(hopefully my last) U/S. I almost laughed out loud when they told me to drink 40 oz of water before my appointment. It will onlt be 20 oz or I will need to be wearing Depends! This little one has his foot parked squarely on my bladder
:
I am excited to find out the gender but really nervous about the possible unhappy news that I'll need a c-section. I had really anticipated the placenta moving up, and baby being down by now. No matter what, I am committed to giving this little one as quiet and peaceful an entrance to the world as possible.

I'll update tomorrow pm (pacific time)

i feel your pain i really do....my first DD was breech and this one is as well....i have another sono on the 29th to check for position.....and will have another one at 37 weeks if the baby is still breech....

but it really depends on what day it is in regards to her positioning....b/c she still turns around in my uterus! i had to go to L&D for some contracting monday and while the resident was checking my cervex he got this weird look on his face.....felt my belly again and says "the baby just flipped from breech to head down".....he thought it was cool like he had the magic touch.....and i told him she does that all the time!

Well I went for the u/s. The tech put the transducer low on my belly, and then we all saw this scrambling and squirming, and then babe's head appeared on the screen. The tech and I both laughed and she said "Well, baby is head down now!" I don't think it necessarily was a bother to him but that he was curious.
The placenta is fully posterior, and a good 4-5 cm off my cervix.
This time the baby was not in the least bit shy showing off his "package"
So it's for sure another boy for me
:
He is measuring 4 days ahead, within the margin of error but also what I would expect since I tend to grow bigish babies. So all good news at the u/s.
He did turn breech again on the car ride home.
I've been doing the spinning babies stuff for weeks now, so my pelvis must be out of alignment since he seems to really prefer the breech position. I'll start a series of Webster adjustments at my chiro next week.
Back to planing my homebirth now.

Great news mama! My baby is still flipping around lots. I am pretty sure she will be vertex for the birth(visualize head down baby), so not too worried.

I am so glad you get to have your homebirth!!

Wow, I hope he's head down, try moxibustion sticks, they are supposed to work wonders in case he decides to flip flop on you again. Hope your HB goes well!

I'm planning mine in late july early august too..hope the house is done enough to have the floor and water in to have a water birth...
