I'm 9 weeks, 5 days today. My u/s wasn't scheduled till 11 weeks, but last night I saw the teeniest brown streak in my cervical discharge and got freaked out. (I've had 2 m/c's already) Then today my boobs suddenly hurt less, so I panicked and went in for an u/s. Everything looked fine! Heartbeat was 171, measuring 8 weeks, 3 days. Huh? I don't get that since I'm positive of my conception, but whatever. We saw 4 little limbs and the spine. I'm VERY relieved... but not completely. I still feel like I have to remember that anything could happen at any time. I'm not sure when I'll feel like I can totally relax.

Anyway, I'm very happy! Unfortunately, all-day-sickness has just set in and I feel GROSS. All I can eat is Dora strawberry yogurt. But I'll count that as a GOOD sign.

Here's to lots of sticky babies!!

I had bleeding at nine weeks as well and went in for an u/s that showed everything was fine. It took me about a week to feel like that particular bullet had really been dodged.

I guess this is the only occasion where feeling horrible is a good sign?! So I'll just hope you continue to feel horrible to convince yourself! Good luck!

I am so glad to hear that!

And I totally understand what you mean about not being able to totally relax. I have been going through the same thing, and I felt like I was being really negative.
I feel better reading that you feel the same way...much be pretty normal after a couple miscarriages to not want to get attached just in case...

I bet we will both have healthy December babes!!

Thanks, guys. Had another scare this weekend, I got a yeast infection Friday - only the 2nd one I've ever had - and am treating it with Monistat 7. Then, Sunday night, after a hard BM (I'm SO constipated) I started bleeding (vaginally). Naturally, I became immediately heartbroken, convinced that this was m/c #3. I had to get on a plane and fly home, so wasn't able to call the midwives till this morning. They are convinced that it's nothing and told me to call if the bleeding worsens. Well, it's stopped, so I'm taking their word for it. I was totally sleepy today and basically slept all day, then was nauseous tonight, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
Oh... then, when I got home, there was a message from the birth center I was planning to deliver at saying they couldn't accept me as a client because they're taking time off for Christmas. I can't blame them, but they're the only BC around and we can't afford a home birth, so I guess the choice was made for us. We'll be going to a hospital to have this baby. Luckily, this is a great hospital with a very natural, hands-off approach. Still... it's a hospital. I plan to labor at home until the last possible second.

So that's the update. Keeping my fingers crossed and wondering if I'll ever be able to relax enough to enjoy this pregnancy.

Alice, I'm so sorry you kept having to go through all these scares. I hope this is nothing to worry about. A friend of mine had some pretty bad yeast infections throughout her pregnancy, and the rawness and irritation due to the infection caused her to bleed fairly often. Everything was okay with the baby, though.

I'll be keeping you and your little one in my thoughts and prayers!

Glad everything looks fine! I wonder why you're measuring smaller - esp if you're sure of your date of conception! Could they mean 8w3d by fetal age? That'd make you 10w3d pregnant - which is still off from you... but maybe you just have a big or small baby? Who knows. I'm glad you're feeling some relief. As time goes on you'll just feel better and better about this baby sticking!
