I just walked into the kitchen and found dh giving Bastian raw garlic. And Bastian looooved it. But he's only 10 months old. Is this going to burn his butt?<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/bigeyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="bigeyes"> < that was me

DD's been eating garlic since about 9 mo. Cooked, but sometimes in large quantities (compared to her size anyway). The only thing I'd worry about raw is if it was in oil. Garlic marinaded in oil has a risk of botulism.
