OK, I'm assuming this is normal b/c of the hormones and increased blood flow, but my pubic hair is growing at incredible rates right now. It's spreading and getting long. I'm tempted to cut it b/c it's driving me crazy when I wipe. Please, oh please tell me I'm not the only one that's having this and annoyed by it!

I honestly didn't notice it but I keep mine trimmed pretty close. I say definitely give it a trim - not only will it not get caught up in the tissue but it will be cooler as well

Go ahead and trim it, it grows back if you don't like the way it feels. I feel much better when I'm well-trimmed

Don't trim it yourself I learned that the hard way.

I found that if it was trimmed too short, that when I sweated, I felt more wet. I guess the hair wicks off the sweat? Aren't we getting scientific about this?

lol that is definitely the question!

I also plan to shave it extra close around my due date, so any blood/mucus I pass won't stick to it(yuck)

Um I'd recommend you TRIM it close but not shave it.

Shaving down there right before delivery actually increases your chances of developing infection.

not to mention that when the shaving grows back, the stubble is UNGODLY itchy. I tried this twice in my life, and learned not to mess with it anymore.

I imagine that the loveliness would only be amplified post partum. UGH.

I too noticed that it is growing faster than before. I normally trim and have found that the best tool for the job is my DH beard trimmer! You can set the length and the guard prevents any nicks. The other option is a comb and scissors - use the comb as a guard between yourself and the scissors and you can probably do that by touch!

I too have noticed pube sideburns!
I have my DH clip them after he clips his head hair...it's much too hard at this stage in pregnancy for me to get a good look down there to see if it's even.

To trim what you can't see, use a mirror or have your DP lend a hand.

Shaving doesn't itch nearly as much when you're used to it. Honestly my armpit hair itches more than my pubic hair.

If you don't want to shave, just trim around the labia that way you're getting rid of the hair that will collect discharge. That's the easiest way to go about it and it won't itch since it's not a shave.

This is probably TMI ---but that's a big YES! my pubic hair basically doesn't grow (or seem like it does) unless I am pregnant.....trim away especially now that the warmer weather is coming.

I've always trimmed, but a mirror doesn't work for me... its all backward and my puny brain just can't figure it out! In another couple of weeks dh will have to take over the job, there's just too much belly.

I've noticed that since I was pg with dd ALL of my body hair has grown much faster (it did not stop after pg). Talk about gross! Okay, I used to have a little peach fuzz on the lip, now I have a full stash and beard if I don't dipilitate at least once a WEEK. It started out at once a month... : I feel like a boy. Also, when I shave my legs they only stay smooth for a few hours. Soooo grossssss...

Mine is growing faster. I know mostly because I can't stand the way it feels and regularly keep it shaved. So, I have to shave QUITE a bit more often. So time consuming! Usually I would have to shave every other week or so - now if I want to keep it away I'd have to go with every week. Well, that's not really possible with a two year old... so I still do every other week and it's TOTALLY annoying the heck out of me by then!!!!

Do what you feel comfy with! If you want to trim - go for it. Make sure you KNOW you want to shave... otherwise just trim, cause once you shave it's HARD to go back and DH would probably not prefer if you tried. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Mine did too. I cut it several times during pregnancy, even though I'd only cut it once before pregnancy. Towards the end, I had dh cut it because I couldn't see anymore, lol.

I wax... It hurts like a doozie the first few times but if you put a cold can of coke on after you do it and use some oil after, it's not too bad and it lasts longer... Good LUCK!

What kind of wax do you use? I've tried a ton of different ones and can't even find one that works for my face! I'd love to put away the dipilatory cream and razors forever and use wax instead if I can find one that works.

Has anyone used Nair to remove your hair? I have my DH slather it on my legs and the extra hairs that peek out from my panties. So much easier then using a shaver or wax for me. boovert

I've used Nair on my legs but I can't bring myself to put it on my bikini area, the skin there is way too sensitive. Besides, I'm less worried about the actual bush and more annoyed with too much hair on and around my labia and I definately wouldn't use Nair on my labia, yeouchies!
