We had been talking about ttc and are thrilled to be expecting another lo but only after dtd once?? Are you kidding me?!

I'm still a little shocked.

I got a faint positive this morning and plan to retest tomorrow but my symptoms are clear so there's no doubt.

Maybe I should change my screen name to Fertile Mertle!

Same thing happened to us. It was my first time ovulating since having DD. DH wasn't supposed to be making any deposits in the baby bank but apparently that didn't matter.
We got our BFP about 2 weeks ago. We are thrilled but we wanted to pay down our debt and I wanted to lose about 50 lbs first. Oh well! Maybe next year.

Fertile Mertile is my name! LOL We conceived our 2nd child when we said "Ok - let's try for another one". DTD once then changed our minds - oops! Too late. Our 3rd child was conceived on Alesse BCP. And our 4th (the one baking right now) was conceived using condoms....

Enjoy your little miracle!! You may not have worked hard to get this one, but you'll work hard for the next 22year! LMBO

It only took us once too. I have a book that has a chart that tells when you are most fertile based on your last period. I looked up the date of my period, found the date in the "Most-likely conceived on" column, and said, "Chris, this is when I'm most fertile. Don't plan anything for that day, ok?" A week later I was already having pregnancy symptoms.

That's what you call destiny!

lmao
It only took once for DD too - like once the entire month! Course it WAS the day before I was ovulating, but, seriously??

Congrats to all of you!

saving_grace - I think we were in the same DDC!
We only dtd that one time all month as well.
We had a tragic loss in our family, dh had been out of work for a little while, we have a special needs two yo, and well just life also happened to get in the way to baby making just a little bit.

I am rather calm about the whole thing but I think dh is a little excited. He went to the library this afternoon and got Ina May's Guide to Childbirth for me.

we dtd 5 days before ovulation and used protection each other time and ended up pg with #5....oh and it is our 2nd vasectomy reversal baby. Needless to say DH is getting re-fixed

Congratulations

A one-and-done here too. We hadn't dtd in a while due to various reasons. Did it once in early February and voila, due around Halloween! Total shock.

We didn't think for a second that we were fertile. I had to take Clomid to get pg with DS. During the time we were ttc DH was tested and it indicated he had poor swimmers. So it never occured to either of us that we were living on the edge this time.

The first time we got pregnant, we had DTD unprotected maybe 3 times (it was in the early days of our relationship and we got 'caught up in the moment'. Yeah, stupid.) I unfortunately miscarried. We DTD one time, one week after the miscarriage. A few weeks later, a BFP!!! He's pretty proud of himself too.

Amazing how many one timer's we have here! LOL

As my dad says, when you play without a net you end up falling! LOL
Our first two were both conceived the first ovulation after deciding to TTC, with the 2nd, it was possibly the first ovulation since the first. It was also the same day both times, 21st September.

Guess when I got pregnant with #3? 21st September! We had no apparent BC failure. I'm starting to wonder if my best future method of BC is simply not to have sex in September!
I feel you, mama! We had sex two whole times the month I got pregnant with this one. After a year of trying and not conceiving, we had stopped TTC and I was going to go on birth control becuase I was having health problems. So naturally I promptly got pregnant.
awwww!!
: Congratulations!! I got pregnant pretty easy this time as well. It's been 7 years since my last pregnancy and I got pregnant over the age of 40. Go figure!
