Okay, I'm 30.5 weeks pregnant and now having a really hard time staying comfortable in bed at night, between squashed shoulder syndrome and this mondo belly. I need suggestions! I already use a body pillow which helps for sure between my legs with my arms hugging it, but anyone using a pregnancy wedge or boppy under their bellies? Does it help? It is worth it?
Any tricks?
Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

Yes, have been using a smushy pillow under belly and it helps. Also put one behind my back so that when my hip starts to hurt I can roll onto my "back" and still be comfy--- and not, officially, be on my back.

Problem is, the one by my back tends to fall off the bed, and when DD comes into our bed in middle of night, she pushes the belly pillow out of the way...so this only works if I'm alone, lol.

Good luck!

I used a wedge pillow during my first pregnancy and loved it. I actually accidentally left it at a hotel and had to call them in a panic asking them to send it to me -- overnight. They're not that expensive (try EBay, too) so yes, IMO they are definitely worth it. After the baby's born you can use it as a lumbar-support pillow, too.

HTH!

Thanks ladies,
we don't have a recliner and don't have plans for one, so that's out! I think I will invest in a wedge, my massage therapist has one and it's heaven when I'm on the table....
still wondering if anyone uses a boppy and if that's a better investment than the wedge b/c I might get more use out of it!!

Sorry, I can't help. I didn't have trouble until about 35 weeks, and a body pillow has managed it...I snuggle it under my belly, then throw my leg over it.

Good luck finding something that works. I was going to try the wedge if the body pillow didn't work - I found one in a local store for $12.00.
