I woke up this morning with a song playing in my head. I'm pretty sure I haven't heard this song since the 1970's, maybe early 80's, but it's been driving me crazy because I can't remember the words and have NO idea who recorded it.<br><br>
Can anyone name some 1970's male folk rock singers, to hopefully jog my memory. This isn't the kind of music I usually listen to, this is the stuff my mom had on the radio when I was a kid so I can't think of any. I thought for a minute John Denver but the voice was different, it almost sounded like the Eagles but still not them. I wish I could remember some of the words but I can't, I just have the tune in my head.

Thanks you guys, I'm going to check out some of them on youtube when it quiets down here. Joe Cockers voice is too raspy and if I remember right James Taylors is kind of nasally so it wasn't them. I remember a song by Pure Prairie League and the voice was similar to the singer for that group, so they'll be the first I check out. I just wish I could remember the words, that would make it easier.

It sounds like you think it might be PPL, but if not I thought of another one, maybe Jackson Browne?

If it sounds like the Eagles, maybe it's Don Henley?
