With #1, age 2.5:
I went into labor at 38 weeks. I was unsure of my dates, so this is according to ultrasound. My water did not break; they did AROM at 6 cm. I experienced no symptoms other than the head engaged the day before labor started.
With #2, age 3.5 weeks:
I went into labor at 40 weeks, 4 days. I knew the date of conception. My water did break before labor, and then labor immediately started. I had no symptoms at all.
My advice about due dates is to ignore them, as long as they are within maybe a month of when you thought you were due.
