I was so excited to see this in todays paper! Wow, that was a very nice article. I was really surprised with the statistic that only 10-20% of HSers are 'relaxed homeschoolers.' I suppose it depends on you define the word...

The type of schooler she portrays is what we are like in our home, though I have never classified myself as an unschooler. SHe has expectations of certain things for her children to learn, but over all lets them explore their interests, that is what my home is like. I thik they are thinking of unschooling when they say relaxed homeschooler which I see as a different thing all together, so I can see 10-20% as unschoolers but then a higher percentage of those that are relaxed homeschoolers.
