Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my husband needs some new work clothes -- khakis and dress shirts, and I'm trying to find ones that aren't treated with those awful anti-wrinkle chemicals. Any ideas? I wish we could afford to go the organic cotton/hemp route, but unless there is a really, really huge clearance sale, it's not in our budget. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Emily

If you can get yourself to a thrift store, that'd be a good place to start. Where we used to live (eastern Washington), work clothes were easy to come by at several of the larger thrift stores (and in new condition too!).

I think most 100% cotton stuff is not treated with those chemicals unless it says 'wrinkle-free' or something pretty prominently. Like, I was just looking at cotton shrits at JCPenney and I don't think they're treated. But thrift stores are great if you have a decent one nearby - best thing for the environment for those of us who can't afford organic cotton.
