This will be the last hpt post from me. I am slightly optimistic at this point but I am only 15 dpo. This is not FMU.
I started on crinone gel yesterday. Does that mean that I won't bleed if I have a miscarriage? Should I keep testing every few days to see if I am still pregnant.
http://i47.tinypic.com/eq2xdy.jpg

No, dont test anymore. Your doctor knows you are worried about miscarriage and should be seeing you accordingly (and if not, ask them to)

If you keep testing you will keep bouncing around in darkness of the lines and just throw yourself off... and cause a lot of stress that little one inside of you does not need.

Plus, the biggest problem with taking progesterone and having it hold off AF is more along the lines of you took it before you actually Oed, making you think you Oed when you actually did not... in that case it works exactly like birth control that is based on progesterone, your period will come after you stop (this is why women are given it during anovulatory cycles) In most women who take it from O to AF (and do not start taking it too soon) they still get AF, maybe a few days late, but it still comes. So I am sure the gel will not make you continue to think you are pregnant and keep you from bleeding if (and you dont) you were to miscarry.

SteelerMom!!! that looks like a really nice BFP to me! no question even!

re: the Crinone. I love the stuff. so non-messy, and according to my RE, one of the best progesterone supps available. Now, I did lose one pgncy, and I was on Crinone, and it was considered a "missed miscarriage" bc I didnt start bleeding. But that was bc my hCG was so high still (like over 19K or something) and not falling. My progesterone was falling, though, despite using the crinone, bc the pregnancy wasnt viable. My RE explained that the presence of high progesterone is due to a successful pregnancy. and a successful pregnancy can't be created just by artificially increasing progesterone levels in utero and in blood. (but it can certainly help with LP defect, and helping women to maintain a pregnancy in the early stages if it's meant to be...) does that make sense? again, only my experience and advice given by my practitioner, but another Dr's opinion might differ.

is the practitioner who prescribed the crinone going to monitor the uterine lining (via U/S) and progest. blood levels for you periodically, and did they say for how long you'd be on it? just a little tidbit from my RE- because of the delivery method, many times, crinone will keep the uterine lining thick and lush, and sustain pregnancy(it's intended effect), without high levels in the blood showing up. since it's almost topical, being delivered so close to the uterus, the desired effect is still achieved. so, the U/S becomes more important in that regard, according to my practitioner. yours might feel differently, so just check with them, but just to make you feel better if blood levels arent what you'd hoped.

either way, that loooks like one BRIGHT pink line!!!!!!
I am concerned for a few reasons:

I have had at least 1 mc and 2 chemical pregnancies this year...and very wacky cycles (ovulating but very short lps like 7 days...had several cycles this year of 17-18 days)

Plus, I got pregnant with sperm that had been exposed to radiation from my husband's 2 right hip and 2 pelvic ex rays in Oct.

And we bd 6 days before and 1 day after ovulation according to ff. (We haven't been able to very frequently because of his recent hip replacement.) So I didn't even feel it was a possibity this month.
