Okay... went for my u/s appt -- next one again in 3 weeks (which is better than the every other week I thought we'd have to start out with . . .)
Gained total of 7 1/2 lbs. She wants a pound a week from here on out. Fluid looks good, baby looks small -- 15%, which is fine as long as she stays there.... I'm not particularly worried, and I dont' think she is (OB) yet.
Did put me on "modified bedrest" -- four hours on my left side (this does NOT include going to be early every night -- which I did try and pass off this theory initially.
She said I can do this at the barn where my girls ride, as there is a lounge chair there -- and she is really interested in keeping my feet up for extended periods of time. I am not up to the challenge of this, and have been told this in the past with the other three pregnancies. I will try and maintain some sort of this -- and then when the other u/s, growth scan, etc. occurs we'll see what happens then...
What I don't get is how my boobs, which are climbing out of my DD bra aren't the reason I've gained 400 lbs. Each boob has got to weigh 40 lbs each.... C'est la vie, eh?
Baby has short femur and HUGE nose (very NOT like my other three girls) and my husband (who is also not short in nose "issues") kept saying... great she has a HUGE nose and she's short . . . (Why his is surprised that she is on the smaller size, I have no idea. I'm 5'5" and he is 5'10"... we're not talking HUGE people here -- at least not in height...
So there you have it... the latest from the somewhat less tired Yankee transplant!
