Ok--here's the deal, my 7 month old son (my second child) has been havingsome digestive issues ever since his 6 month shots (bad mommy, I know--now we're doing VERY DELAYED AND SELECTIVE immunizations) He had 4 days of 104-105 fevers with dehydration and vomiting. After that was over (we thought) he's been unable to eat hardly anything other than just breast milk. When he eats, he vomits mucous. No food, just mucous. He also started leaving *stains* in his diapers when he pees. The stain was explained as a little bit of uric salts and is just a by-product of dehydration. Well...he's been having these stains at least 1 wet diaper a day for 5 weeks until this week and now it's been EVERY CHANGE and the spots are the size of a 50cent piece. Yesterday he started urinating blood. Into the ER we go, they take only a chem panel blood test and a urinalysis. They didn't do a CBC to check for white blood count or anything. The blood showed elevated uric acid (a sign of kidney function I heard) and the urine showed white AND red blood cells. they tell us go home and just wait a few days. I have an appt with my ped on Tuesday, but, what in the world could be causing this???? Please help me get to the bottom of this. Is there something wrong with my little guy's kidneys? Thanks in advance, ladies.

Yes, it sounds like your son's kidneys were damaged by the sustained dehydration. The stains you describe and the blood in urine (and his labs) all point to what you said anyway, that his kidney function was abnormal. Not only would I take him to the ped tomorrow, but I'd demand he be admitted for further testing - e.g., by a pediatric urologist - ASAP.

I'm sorry about this, and hope you get to the bottom of it soon, and he gets better fast.

Please post exactly that over on the vaccination board. There are some very intelligent people there. I would say your child may be at high risk for getting more damage from vaccines.
Please don't take a chance. Research before you inject more poisons into his blood. After all, we make sure a child doesn't eat poison, why inject him with it?
Do you know the ingredients in vaccines? Mercury, Aluminum, Antifreeze, Formaldehyde...They are all poisons.

Ok--just saw the ped. I have an appt with a nephrologist tomorrow at 12:30 and a renal u/s scheduled for 4pm. My ped thinks it's renal stones or a metabolic disorder. They did do every blood test you can think of and also did another urine test for many thins including the 4 main acids/salts that cause renal stones. I'll know more tomorrow.

THANKS EVERYONE!! I'll post more as I know it.

Ok--we went to the nephrologist today and no stones or blockage, but, they don't know WHY he has so much 'uric acid salts' in his urine. Hopefully we'll find out more after they run his last urine sample.
