Got an email today from my ex (we are not on bad terms despite his problems.) He wants to start trying to see ds in the fall on a regular basis.

I hope he can and that he lives up to his commitments. He's not very good at that.

btw, ex hasn't seen ds since Nov. 2003.

I think it's great that he wants to make the effort with his child. I will cross my fingers that he stays more consistent for the sake of your little one.
It can be difficult for kids to adjust after long absences, so I hope your ex will be respectful of your little one and go at a pace that works best for son.
