<p>Thanks for the responses to my post from a few days earlier.  I moved some hair around and am happy enough with the result, although I'd really like to see how other people got good coverage without the hair becoming an entity unto itself!  </p>

<p>I finished the doll and made her a dress last night.  I am very excited and can't wait to gift her to my daughter on the last night of Hanukkah.  I also made my daughter a matching dress (you can see a bit of it in the picture's background) which she'll receive for her birthday in two weeks. </p>

<p>I loooove dolls with matching dresses.  DD's first doll came with a suitcase full of clothes sewn by grandma and a few with matching dresses for her.  She still crams herself into the dress with too short sleeves.  hahhaha.</p>

<p>I know what you mean about not feeling like you got "good coverage" but I think that's how its intended to be.  If it looks good up in pony tails, and down then I think its good.  full coverage would turn into its own entity like you said.  my mom made me a cabbage patch doll when they were scarce and we couldn't get a real one.  she covered the head with yarn (because we didn't want bald spots) and it was ridiculous.  the crochet cap makes it so coverage isn't important.  </p>

<p>She's so pretty!! Her hair is great! The big dolly at our school is all mohair, but her's is sewn down into braids. Pretty both ways!</p>
