It actually went remarkably well! I ran for most of it - it took me around 70 minutes and of that I ran for 60 of them. The temperature was good, it was cloudy and it even spit a bit at the beginning, which was nice. It did get a bit humid towards the end, but then a breeze sprang up. I felt awesome at the end and could have kept going (well, my knee started to bug me a bit but that's a chronic running injury so I'm used to it).

Now, 9 hours later, both my knees are - let's just say that stairs are not my friend. Aside from that, still feel great.

As a side not, DH finished his half in just under two hours but got dehydrated and a touch of heat stroke and has spent the day being very sick - not nice when DD decided not to nap at all.

Eek! I'm trying manically to prepare because we've manage to develop seriously complicated logistics since DH is running the half marathon and I am doing the last leg of the marathon relay tomorrow.

My parents are helping look after DD and driving me to my start point and picking me up at the end. Figuring out all the stuff I need to bring for her, as well for me, is keeping my mind off the fact that I haven't walked, never mind run, 6 miles for a long time. About 4, yes. 6 - no!

Hopefully it won't rain all day as predicted and I'll make it through. Fortunately many of my teammates are quite sick or injured so no one's expecting any records to be set; good thing since I'll likely be walking a lot.

I'm in awe.. I can barely run my mouth, let alone six miles.

Wow! Good luck. I had a friend who trained for marathons and continued to run very long distances all the way through her pregnancy (I think dr. ordered her to quit running between months 6 and on, but she took it up again the last month since she didn't mind the risk of going into labor.)
Have fun!
