Well guess what? The day after my post, my ds came down with a horrible chest infection, his first ever illness. Ds was gasping for breath, running temps of 105 and basically on deaths door by the look of him. We were at the hospital and doctors 7 times getting breathing treatments and they were going to admit him, but thankfully he was put on steroids and turned a corner. DH isnt smoking in the house anymore. Sorry it took this to make him turn a corner, but it did. Someone out there prayed hard and it worked, thanks mamas.DS is doing better!

I'm sorry your son got sick but it's great your dh isn't smoking in the house anymore! My dh just quit a couple months ago but he always smoked outside (even pre-kid, it's just his quirk, lol.)

How scary! I almost posted a story on the other thread about how my dh had to be hospitalized for asthma at age 6 because his parents smoked around him (and still didn't quit : ). It was a very scary experience for him and he is still nervous in hospital settings. Hopefully, your dh will continue to take not smoking in the house seriously.

YEAY, so glad to hear he's not smoking in the house any more! Maybe he'll eventually come to realize the import of not having the habit around the kiddo at all!
