so i took all the advice on here and just kept feeding my little girl as much as she needed to eat. within a couple of days, my milk was really in and for the time being she is basically done with the really insane cluster feeding (i think because i have so much milk!). after reading up on it, i know now to expect cluster feeding sometimes, though, as she regulates my supply and as she hits growth spurts

we stopped with the pacifier altogether, and my mom agrees the baby seems happier without it she is really amazed at how well i am doing BFing. she did nurse her 3 kids but did so with very little support. so even though she supports me, she doesn't always know what to advise...

oh, and we had DD's first check-up this morning. this girl has gained a pound since birth! which is awesome because she started out with aspirated meconium, on antibiotics and an IV, and i hardly got to see her the first couple days :

her doctor was very impressed!! we are doing great, so thanks everyone!
