I have a $30 credit, and I want to get some good books to use for homeschooling.<br><br>
Any recomondations? (ds is almost 3, but very smart and will read books for all ages with me!)<br><br>
Here is the <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/main.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122" target="_blank">link to Usborne</a>

I recommend the See Inside Your Body lift the flap book. Although much might be too advanced right now, he will enjoy lifting the flaps, seeing how the body works, and the book will be useful for many years to come.

What age are you looking for?<br><br>
Full disclosure: I happen to be a representative, but I hand pick my inventory based on our own family's homeschool needs.

Yes, that one! We love all of the Usborne 'see inside' books. We have the Castles one, and have checked out the space & human body ones. They are all awesome and very popular with the kids <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

Would <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=See+Inside+Set+%284%29&sqlwhere=submit%3Dsearch%26search%3Dsee%2Binside" target="_blank">this</a> be a good set?<br><br><a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Greek+Myths+for+Young+Children&sqlwhere=submit%3Dsearch%26search%3Dyoung%2Bchildren" target="_blank">This one</a> also looked good<br><br>
And what about the <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Library+1001+Set&sqlwhere=submit%3Dsearch%26search%3D1001" target="_blank">1001 things to spot books</a>? Are they any good?<br><br>
And the kid kits <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Science+with+Magnets+Kid+Kit+%28Bag%29&sqlwhere=+t.id+in+%28select+productid+from+vcategorygroupsitems+where+categoryid+%3D3100%29" target="_blank">like this one</a> or <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Young+Naturalist+Kid+Kit+%28Bag%29&sqlwhere=+t.id+in+%28select+productid+from+vcategorygroupsitems+where+categoryid+%3D3100%29" target="_blank">this one</a><br><br>
Or reading books like <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Reading+Games&sqlwhere=submit%3Dsearch%26search%3Dread" target="_blank">this one</a> or <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Ready+for+Reading&sqlwhere=submit%3Dsearch%26search%3Dread" target="_blank">Ready for Reading</a><br><br>
I'm not sure what I want really, there are so many choices! I already have a few, most he has outgrown (like the touchy feely ones), and we have a TON of non-usborne animal books so probably dont need more of those. We also already have some on outer space, and dinosaurs.<br><br>
I guess science/social studies/cultures etc would be good - I think our homeschool is going to be mostly literacy based (b/c he loves books!), so we dont really need story books either.<br><br>
Has anyone tried their Curriculums? <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Adventures+of+the+Human+Body+%28PS%2FLE%29+Set&sqlwhere=+T.ID+In+%28Select+ProductID+From+vCategoryGroupsItems+Where+CategoryID+%3D3660%29" target="_blank">Like this one</a>

When my son was 3 he LOVED The Flip Flap Body Book. He's 4 now and still loves it. I'll have to check out the See Inside Your Body book...maybe that's the next step from Flip Flap??

Oh those look interesting. It says order using orderpro but doesn't give a link or any contact info? I'd be interested in checking out a couple of the lesson plans only (being in Aus I'd have to source the books through local means or bookdepository) especially if they are available in pdf format <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up">

I think you just click 'add to cart' to order, and then fill out the form. They have the lesson plans alone like <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Adventures+of+the+Human+Body+%28PS%2FLE%29+Curriculum&sqlwhere=+T.ID+In+%28Select+ProductID+From+vCategoryGroupsItems+Where+CategoryID+%3D3660%29" target="_blank">this</a> or you can get the whole curiculum including the books like <a href="http://www.myubam.com/ecommerce/details.asp?sid=G3421&gid=95651407&emkt=122&title=Adventures+of+the+Human+Body+%28PS%2FLE%29+Set&sqlwhere=+T.ID+In+%28Select+ProductID+From+vCategoryGroupsItems+Where+CategoryID+%3D3660%29" target="_blank">this</a> . So you can just order the books direct from them. You get like 5 books and 1 kid kit (which is a book+some sort of suppliment), PLUS the curiculum for $50, so to me that seems like a great deal. The books alone would cost more bought seperatly.

I think so - the lift the flap says 4 and up, and the see inside says 7 and up. I think a younger kid could still get something out of it though, I showed ds the pic it has of one of the pages, and he seemed interested!

Thank you! I couldn't find the place to order just the lesson plans. The books would ordinarily be cheaper that way, but being in Australia, if the company even ships overseas... the postage would absolutely KILL <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked"> There is one usborne at home rep that I can find down here so I'll contact them.. or try bookdepository which has free worldwide post <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>
HUGE pout. I tried to create a wishlist and it wouldn't even give an option for an address outside the US or APO that I could see <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> So as cool as it sounds, guess not for me.
