Has anyone noticed that their cervical opening is always bigger at a certain time of day compared to another time of day? It's wierd, but it seems like in the AM upon waking, my cervix will feel more open.

Also, when will you ladies write in your chart about the hieght/softness and mucus type for the day? Do you do it at night and record the most fertile you've seen? There have been days when it's changed on me, but I have been charting in the morning (so that I don't forget) and then it will change on me.

yes, it's me again So far I'm hogging the thread! I just started it a few minutes ago tho.

Ok, I'm worried. My body seems to be getting back to normal month by month after gettting off Mirena. The first 2 cycles I never got EWCM and this cycle I got some. I'm on day 18 of my cycle. On day 16, I got a very high temp, but I did do it 2.5 hours late, and I'm thinking it might have been a fluke reading. I got like 98.6 or something like that. The next day it was 98.2 so I was thinking that maybe I had ovulated. I wanted to get my temp this morning to confirm if I had ovulated, but I don't know if I did. : I vaguely remember taking a temp and seeing 100.0 but it could have been a dream, now I'm not sure if I did because I looked at it and it read 98.3 which I'm not sure if it was from yesterday or if I indeed took it this am. But I'm gettnig ahead of myself.

Last night, dh and I DDD (with no condom) and before I could tell him that he needed to withdraw, he, well, you know. : At first I was freaking out because I thought I might have ovulated that day, but calmed myself by saying my CM was getting drier so the environment was probably not friendly. But this morning, my cervix is a bit open and I don't know if the CM i'm feeling which is creamy colored and a bit stretchy is really CM or my dh's stuff! Oh I hope it's not my CM!!! I don't want to be pg. yet. Is there anything I can do at this point? It's been a whole night now, and I don't have any spermicide anyway to kill any sperm that might still be there. Agh! I have waiting so many days until AF time to see if there is going to be such a major change in my life!!! Just want to note that I've been very fertile in the past. 4 kids in 5 years.

"the day when there is super fertile EWCM, will there also be some creamy CM so that at times you get the super stretchy clear stuff but at other times there is the creamy stuff? "

I always get tons of ewcm on all my fertile days. We made a big mistake at the beginning of this cycle so I hear ya!! I wish this was easier for sure.

Anyone wanna look at my chart and see what you think? I feel like my period is coming and FF took my crosshairs away I'm thinking anovulatory cycle. not that it really matters I'm just curious.

ccasanova.. I might have antigradded myself too I've had nothing but sticky/ creamy cm this cycle, which is my BIP, so DH and I have been DTD. It isn't unusual for me to have a long cycle in December with all the stress of finals and the holidays. I've been having a hard time temping so I've only temped for the past three days (I'm on CD 18).. but my temp was up this morning. we'll see what the next few days bring. I'm supposed to start clinicals in August next year, that's when I'd be due. : I'll sit here and bite my nails with you.

How it can be so easy to look back after the fact, and say, "what was I thinking! I should know better!"

DH always says that if I WANT to DTD we probably shouldn't because I'm probably fertile! but I kept telling him, there's no way, I have sticky/creamy cm. I'm one of those people that has copious amounts of ewcm, and get like 6-7 days of it usually. I have seen none this cycle. I've also been dieting and that can screw with things (watch me try to rationalize it ). I'd love to be pregnant, but that would really throw a wrench in our plans.

I keep trying to remember if I took any antihistamines or any other medicine that might have dried up my cm.. but I don't think I did. :

but yeah, really I SHOULD know better. I've been charting since oct of 2004, I've got lots of experience... I need to put a post it note on my night stand that says FOLLOW THE RULES

I've seen the same thing in myself. I've noticed that when I'm around my fertile time, I seem to want a baby! So I've made a deal with myself, If I can still want a baby through a whole cycle, not just during my fertile time then maybe I'm really ready. So far it hasn't happened.

my temp was up today.. *sigh* here's my : we DTD on 16 when I had sticky mucous. If my temp stays up, it looks like I ovulated on CD 17. I realize that for the outsider, it is a difficult chart to read because of the missing temps (bad texaspeach! ) my coverline is always between 96.9 and 97.3. the only thing I can guess is that my drastic change in diet over the past month cause my signs to be confusing. if things were really as sticky as I saw them, then I think the chance of pregnancy is slim. but because I wasn't checking internally (like I mentioned in my other post.. I have copious cm, never needed to check internally before), I might have had ewcm inside.

I jokingly told DP last night at dinner that I'd be upset if I am 'knocked up' because I've been working so hard to lose weight (we were at a place with fantastic pie and it was torture for me not to have any!) and he said, you know, I'm really worried about that this month, when's the soonest we can know? he's never been worried. to add to my concerns, the other day I had a dream that someone was tricking me into getting pregnant.

I'm oddly calm about the idea of being pregnant. worry won't do me any good at this point. freaking out about other related stuff... not so calm. I am a little concerned because I had some dental work done on friday and am schedule for some more this coming friday. I had a filling done and an amalgam filling removed/replaced and am due for one more replacement this week. and even though it is still an abstract thing right now, I'm terrified of telling my mother (yikes, I'm 25 and afraid of my mom? yeah that's me), but I wouldn't tell her until 12+ weeks.

This should be a fun two weeks. IF I ovulated on the 30th, my period is due on the 12th. I've got finals that week so I'm going to try to put it out of my mind.

ETA: I tempted fate and ordered a mooncup. if I AM pregnant, this is the cycle that it would happen also checked what my edd would be, the end of august. I don't want to be pregnant in the middle of the dog days of summer in houston. (really trying not to get my hopes up)

Hi, can I jump in here? I'm in my 3rd cycle since my dd was born last December. I EP for her and still have a pretty full supply and am not fully convinced that I've actually ovulated yet, but I have had 3 fairly normal periods 25-45 days apart.

I was charting and officially trying to avoid when I got pregnant with both my kids , but I was really sloppy about following the rules and was pretty open to being pregnant both times, too. This time I KNOW I don't want to be pregnant. I mean, it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'd *really, really ,really* like to wait until dd is 2 before getting pregnant again.

I'd really like to have some women to talk to about my confusing charts and bounce ideas off of. So hi! I just do charts on paper, no online stuff. I'm on day 17 right now and my temps are still low (below 97). I don't get good blocks of sleep (co-sleeping with baby), though, so it can be hard to know when to temp. So far today I only have a little creamy CM, but for the past 9 days I've had a least some EW most days. Last month was the same, lots of confusing CM and no clear temp change. So we'll see what happens.

One month officially successful at charting to avoid! Go me! :

I had a couple bobbles along the way, there were a couple of days over the span of the month where I forgot I was charting and ran to the bathroom to pee before I remembered to temp, and just said screw it... and there was a point where we were babysitting for three days overnight and the little two year old kept stealing my theremometer off my nightstand so I couldn't keep it in the bedroom so I forgot then... The annoying part of that being that I'm not entirely sure when I ovulated because I missed three days of data in a row, and the day before I missed I was in the 97 range and when i resumed I was in the 98 range, so it could have been anywhere in that three day range. Oh well, there's always this month to do better.

Random question though.... When's the best time to check CM? In the morning?

CM should be checked throughout the day. You might wake up with a less fertile kinds and then later in the day change to more fertile.

Hi! I'm just starting to chart this month for the first time.

I totally had the "aha" moment reading TCOYF - I've had ovulation pain for years and the Dr.s are always sending me in for ultrasounds, etc. even though I told them it must have to do with my hormones since it comes monthly. DUH.

I temp really low though - 95.1, 95.8 - is this normal or do I need to go find another thermometer?
