Help! I have a bad cold and my head is stuffed and I have a headache from he!!. When I used my neti pot this morning, my sinuses burned like never before. I checked water temp and diluted the amount of salt and it still hurt - although only on the left side.

I need my neti pot, ideas? sorry it is short - 4 yo version of nak

The water can hurt if there's too much salt, or if there's not enough. Sometimes using baking soda in place of the salt, or in addition to it, helps too.

huh ok thanks. I tried adjusting the salt so I guess I'll add a small amt of baking soda.

Thanks! I've never heard of putting baking soda in the water but I did this time and it didn't hurt. Of course while I was doing that, DD messed up my screen display so I guess it is time to go to bed.
