vacation out of state

In my divorce decree, it states that both my X and I have to keep the other informed of addresses/phone numbers. We are also supposed to let the other know if we are taking dd out of state. My X has never followed through on any of this...I always do find out where he's living, but not because he's called to let me know. Anyway, my dd and I are taking a trip to Hawaii. She is now 18, do I need to tell him that we are going? We no longer talk and he has very little contact with dd. If I do still need to let him know, at what age does this end?

I would assume it ends the same time that child support ends, at 18 or when she is out of high school. If she has little contact with him, I wouldn't bother telling him she's going out of state. If he wants to take you back to court for being in contempt of the agreement, let him. JMO.

It ends at 18, age of legal maturity. Child support is unrelated in this matter.
Unrelated, but have fun in Hawaii! The weather is becoming beautiful after weeks of rain. I may just have to go swimming today.
Generally, a Parenting Plan ceases to govern when the child(ren) turn 18 or graduate from High School, whichever comes last.

In this case, I would just inform your was-band of your plans to go out of state. This can be anything from an email to a certified letter, but be certain to keep a copy for yourself. (In case he later tries to claim that you failed to inform him.)

That being said, have fun in Hawaii!
