i know i do not want to vaccinate...my boyfriend is not sure if he wants to just do selective vaccination...what exactly are the vaccines they want us to get? if i remember correctly, its the Dtap, MMR, Polio, Hep B, and sometimes chicken pox, right? are there others that i am not remembering? because when i ran those down to him i got him to agree that vaccinating was not necessary...i just want to make sure i am not skimming over another vax that is always pushed at well babies.

What about Hib and Prevnar? Here is a link to the actual schedule.

http://www.cdc.gov/Nip/recs/child-sc...olor-print.pdf

For comparison sake...I was born in 1975 and rec'd about 1/3 (if not less) the amount of vaccines they now 'recommend' for an infant between birth and 18 months!

Get to researching...research the diseases and the actual vaccines. It is important not to just run down a list but to actually research the decision you are making!

Why did you make that decision? I only ask because it seems like maybe you didn't reasearch a whole lot if you aren't aware of the vaxes on the schedule. Keep up on the studying. It's not only a very interesting topic, but it will help you feel more confident and empowered in your decision making.

As for the vaxes you left out. Hep A, Prevnar, Hib, Rototeq, the flu shot, ect. It all kind of depends on where you live and what age your child is.
