I was wondering if anyone has any links to vaccinations and allergies/asthma? DS was vaccinated on the pediatrician recommended schedule (except for Hep B), and has many allergies and asthma. We are about to TTC #2. I want to think more carefully about the possibility of not vaxing. I am particulary interested in the link with allergies/asthma given that DS has suffered from this for no other apparent reason...and one homeopath we saw was convinced it had to do with vaccinations.

Thanks!

If you read the insert papers of the vaccine (the thin folded paper) you will see that many vaccine mention allergies and asthma as a side effect of vaccines.

Here is one in particular Can Hib Cause Asthma

Effect of the DTP on allergies

Indeed, vaccines such as theare actually used to induce autoimmune diseases in laboratory animals, the best and most publicised example being the so-called experimental allergic encephalomyelitis(EAE).

When, as expected, these unfortunate animals develop EAE from the pertussis vaccine, the causal link is never disputed; yet when babies after vaccination with the same vaccines develop the same symptoms of EAE as the laboratory animals, the causal link to the administered vaccine is always disputed and usually considered "coincidental".
