Well with flu, it doesn't! Time to trim down portly ones! If you are in that stout category it doesn't work well for you!!

Old too, let's not forget!

Tubby mice don't cut it! https://www.researchgate.net/blog/post/flu-vaccinations-less-likely-to-be-effective-in-obese-mice

While the adjuvanted vaccine did increase both neutralizing and non-neutralizing antibody levels, obese mice had decreased responses in comparison to lean mice. Additionally, obese mice were not protected against flu even though they reached a level of vaccine response considered “protective.” Even increasing the amount of protein in the vaccine, an approach successfully used for improving vaccine responses in the elderly, did not protect obese mice from flu infection. Given the global obesity epidemic, our findings highlight the need to improve flu vaccines for this high-risk population.

I know so many object to the DM, but they are reporting the exact same thing - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...e-reduces-body-s-immune-response-vaccine.html

seems to be the American way for many children, sadly...

"Free Happy Meal with Vaccines" is a McD's campaign
If doctors wanted to make people healthy they would tell people to stop eating junk food. Why aren't they doing that? I don't see how hydrolyzed soy protein burgers, MSG fries, and aspartame sodas can become healthy when you combine that with an injection of mercury, aluminum, and formaldehyde. That sounds like that you make you even sicker than just eating the "happy" meal.

= vaccine failure? or maybe it's just coincidence with all the porkly mice...
FAILURE!? Oh, no, can't be........just less effective! If we go around having "failures" with vaccines, what would people think? Say it's a whopping 16% effectiveness, and you are on that biggie side and your effectiveness is like only 5%, so many will see that as still a big PLUS!!! :eyesroll

So how does this translate to humans? Could it be that overweight individuals also have the same problems with other viral vaccines, MMR for example?
That's how this reads to me! Not as effective if you are plus size! IF they keep wanting to use rats and those big rats aren't as protective, that must mean..........

Money spent on good food? Advise that food effects the body? Look you really are on the wrong board here! Vaccines are the bomb! The end all end all.........you can have a crap diet yet be vaccinated and be good to go!!!

Except (now keep this on the down low), we did a whole thread on this before, the WHO did a study where children in India were vaccinated and still had issues, malnutrition seems to effect so much regardless of vaccination. But yea, if you believe it will work, and you have a crappy diet, so be it, as long as you aren't one of those who rejects getting the vaccine because they don't really work!!

Oh the irony of it all!!

How would they make money telling people not to eat junk food? MUCH easier and much more profitable for his pocket to push vaccines. Of course, the sick body from junk food is another source of income, too.

AAP takes money from junk food purveyors. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/nancy-huehnergarth/conflict-of-interest_b_4168385.html

Even more alarming, some of these junk food purveyors are allowed to sponsor your continuing education courses and conference sessions. For example, Coca-Cola has long been a sponsor of credited continuing education sessions for dietitians through AND. And Nestlé, which manufactures and heavily markets a wide array of junk food and baby formula, just sponsored a symposium at the AAP conference titled, “Preventing Pediatric Obesity: Communicating Effectively With Parents.” (It should be noted that evidence links breastfeeding to healthier weight infants and children, which makes AAP accepting money from a formula-maker even more problematic.) Both of these session sponsorships make about as much sense as BP tutoring schoolchildren on how to protect the environment!
