Let's start a thread for Valentine treats! Kind of like the Christmas stockings threads... obviously the object is to find items that aren't Made in China or contain 99% sugar...

There are some great recipes in the Feeding the Whole Family cook book by Cynthia Lair. We like the oatmeal cookies. I use semi sweet chocolate chips but I think the recipe calls for carob and they are sweetened with maple syrup. I may need to go make some now.:

Yeah, I looove the lip soaps too. They are faves of many people. We spent part of last week trying to "pierce" one for a groovy teacher my kids have! (didn't succeed yet....).

Re. the eating: I hear you. We have a disclaimer somewhere about how some of our soaps look and smell good enough to eat so please use common sense when giving them to young children. I remember when one of my kids was about 3 and she helped me make a jumbo teddy bear soap from start to finish. It was a beautiful chocolate brown. And after she popped it out of the mold she tried to put it in her mouth! OY!
