This thread is for posting gatherings at homes, beaches, parks, pools or places like Science World or berrypicking.

We have a gathering at Trout Lake on Friday at 10am. Meet under the willow tree near the beach.
There is also a Buntzen Lake meetup with some babywearing stuff at 11am

Ok then!! A few of us are meeting for tea on Wednesday at Steeps on Broadway (at Laurel) at 1:30. We'll be talking cloth diapers and there will be a few little itty bitty babes to sniff

I think we're on for Buntzen Lake Friday! Fingers crossed for some

It will be great to finally meet some of you! Was an area determined to meet or will we just guess who's who by the obvious clues
baby carriers, nursing toddlers/babes, etc.? We'll be pulling a green John Deere wagon, DS1 51/2 is a blondie and Ds2 21 months is a strawberry blondie, and I'm sorta blonde...

Not sure of an area, but I'll have a babe in a pink camo wrap, a 10yr old with long brown braids and a shaggy-headed 7yrold boy who refuses to cut his hair, probably on the main beach having a picnic lunch. You can check out pictures of people on facebook

Good idea!

Although isn't this the reason we were all urged to join facebook?
Now I have yet another internet adiction for Dh to complain about!

I thought we joined crackbook, oops I mean facebook
was to see each others faces, so we know what people look like when we meetup in public places.
There have been a couple talks on there for meetups, but no one checks there often enough, so no one show's up

I think I'm up to a Buntzen lake meet up this friday if the weather is good.

Unfortunately there aren't any good landmarks to meet up at at Buntzen, so maybe meet up by the beach (the non-dog part) by a picnic table?

I'll be the frazzled looking one with a red Phil and Teds, a 2yo and a newborn. Dh might come along too...
We're going to beach the around midday - Barnet Marine Park - here's a map. This is a quiet sandy beach with washrooms and lots of shade. Please if you have a child who would enjoy playing with my 3.5 yo extrovert we would love company!! (everyone else welcome too of course)
Trout Lake cancelled tomorrow.
Meetup at Cafe deux Soleil instead, 10am - 11am.
I'm pretty sure we'll make it, but I'm exhausted at the moment, but I'm sure I'll be well rested tomorrow

Ok, I'm stubborn and it's dry here, I am still taking the kids to Buntzen today from 10:30-12:30 or so. We'll be on the main beach with a little blue cooler on a purple fleece blanket trying to stay warm!!

We're going to Trout Lake today too. See you there!

We meet at the playground beside the centre.

Sorry I didn't make that clear

So I changed my mind

The Friday meetups will meet under the Willow Tree at Trout Lake, right near the beach, EVERY Friday this summer from 10am-noon.
