This may be premature as not pregnant yet but just got DH on board for TTC#3 - Yay! Any successful VBA2c'ers in central Mass and how/where did you go about it? I would really like to avoid a 3rd c-section. Can I do this and still have a hospital/birthing center birth? I delivered (well c-sectioned) at UMass both times before. Even though I love my current OB/GYN (at Mass Central Ob/GYN - Shrewsbury/Worcester), I know I may have to change in order to attempt a VBA2C. TIA.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I had an awesome homebirth VBA2C in October. If you're interested, I could send you my midwives' information. Good luck!

The only doc I have ever heard of at UMASS being amenable to a VBA2C is Ellen Delpapas. And even then, she admits flat out, that her partners don't "approve" of her doing them.

Since you aren't pregnant yet, I would definitely talk with your OB now. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were better off switching docs. But as a pp said there are a number of home birth midwives in the area that would have no issue with it.

ETA: The question to ask your doc is NOT "are you OK with a VBA2C?' What you really want to ask is "How many VBA2C's have you attended?" Because that is going to give you the true answer to the first question.

Good luck!
