Thats awesome Kit. I only have the choice to have one at 1 hospital. And i have a VERY small selection of choices for a Midwife. Made worse by the fact that im on Medicaid.

thats awesome that you had 1 vbac already!!!
I'm HBACing in late August/early Sept! I'm so excited, it has been a long journey, and with a wonderful MW who HBACed her second and a Doula who is head of ICAN locally, I feel great!

Interesting statistic......they say that a VBAC mom (in hospital setting)has about a 75-80% success rate (90% with HB MW usually). So that means that VBAC moms have a 20-25% chance of a CS....compare that to a mom who has never had a cesarean, be it first time mom, or mom with vaginal births already accomplished, their CS rate is some where around 24-30% locally.......makes you wonder...you are actually MORE likely to birth vaginally WITH a previous CS, isn't that funny? I'm guessing it's a matter of preparation, or the fact that a VBAC mom is not really all that different than a non-VBAC mom, and shouldn't be treated any different or have any more restrictions.
If I belong here I will be hoping/planning for a VBAC. I'm in the 2ww right now. Right now I'm feeling very nervous about finding a provider, as I know my previous OB won't be able to do it--the hospital she delivers at makes it so difficult as to effectively have a ban. It's a major metropolitan hospital, and yet they only had 1 VBAC last year.

Thankfully there's an awesome ICAN chapter here.
VBAC here! I had a c-section at 28 weeks when I developed pre-e the first time. We're in an area where literally no one will let me VBAC in a hospital - northern PA - so I think we'll be arranging something with midwives in Pittsburgh. We wanted a homebirth the first time, but after a NICU and very medical birth I'm not quite ready to do it at home with this one!
I'm hoping for a VBAC, and I'm going to research the topic to death! I'm at peace with the alternative if it is life or death, and am prepared as much as I can be. I'm hoping and praying for a healthy pregnancy. I have some secretive plans of my own if this pregnancy goes well, no placenta previa, no pre-e etc. I dream of a homebirth. I'm going to shop around and talk to some midwives in the area, although the ones I have called so far will not even give me an appointment based on my medical history I'm going to wait until I hit the 30 week mark, then I can say... I'm healthy, pregnancy is good, Let's have a homebirth PLEEEAAASSSE!!
Yup. I'm having a VBAC at my local hospital. There are no problems with that here. It even says in my medical journal that I can have a VBAC next time if I want (and all goes well).
I'm really hoping it does, I want my natural birth this time!
Hoping for a VBAC with #3. My OB is extremely supportive, which is awesome and reassuring to me.

My first was an emergency csection at 30 wks due to pre-e. Hoping this time around things go smoothly and full term. (Twins in the NICU is not fun...)
