If you are near the area please consider comming we could use some help!
here is the invite to the protest:
Last week women from all over NW Arkansas gathered at Washington Regional Medical Center to protest the hospital's blanket ban on VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean). We marched with babes in our arms and in strollers and wagons. It was an awesome experience and we got many "thumbs ups" from passers-by. We are already hearing reports that the hospitals are feeling the pressure.
We want to continue the momentum. If you are a childbearing woman or if you have a wife, a mother, a sister, or a daughter, you may be faced with the difficult situation of a mandatory repeat cesarean section.

Friday, April 24, 2008
from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Protest Northwest Medical Center's
VBAC Ban
at the intersection of
SE Walton Blvd. and Medical Center Parkway
in front of Park Place strip mall
(across the street from Krispy Kreme)
Bentonville, AR
A limited number of signs is available, or you can bring your own homemade sign. Parking is available at the Park Place strip mall and across the street.
Don't forget your sunscreen and snacks for the kids.
If you missed last week's protest, please come and let's double the number of women to 50! The hospitals are just beginning to notice that we will not take this unethical practice anymore! You may just be helping your best friend, your sister, or yourself.
Wouldn't you feel great if the hospitals reversed their bans because you raised your voice?
Visit www.bringbackvbac.org for more information on the local bans and research on VBAC safety
We will also be at Willow Creek next friday, and St. Mary's the friday after that and I will post that information as it comes available.
