I'm looking for doctors/midwives who are very pro-VBAC in central Indiana and surrounding area. I'm in Muncie - anything within maybe a two hour radius or so (Indy, Ft. Wayne, Dayton OH, Lafayette) would be open to consideration!

I just found an OB for my VBAC.
I'm in Fishers, and I'm using Dr. Kristina Box.
She's with the Clearvista Women's Care. http://www.whp.com/cv/

My doula coordinator (the hospital I chose, Community North, has a free Doula program) says that's a pretty vbac friendly group in general.

Before finding her, I did find a midwife who does VBAC's down in bloomington. (I'm new to Indiana, so I'm not sure if you're in her range of care)

Good luck!

If you are open to home birth, there are HB midwives who will do VBACs. I actually have a patient who is planning her first HBA4Cs!

I had my first VBAC with Dr. Amy Moon, with Women's Health Alliance. She was wonderful and very supportive of my VBAC desire.

I had my 2nd VBAC in December, and a homebirth this time. My midwives were fantastic to work with and never doubted that I could do it.

HTH,

Unless things have changed I didnt find them to be a VBAC friendly group at all but my specific OB was Dr. Kristine Beckwith. Dr. Box did my 2nd section and she was AWESOME. Maybe SHE should haev been my OB from the beginning. I would just really really ask ALL the right questions if you are dealing with someone other than Dr. Box.

Look into Dean Paulsen in Anderson. I don't know about him being specifically vbac friendly because I have never asked BUT I do know he is VERY pro midwifery and refuses to do convenience inductions. He supported my birth plan and I had a great hospital birth there. It was a great experience and I would reccommend giving his office a call and scheduling an interview with him. That hospital (community Anderson)was wonderful and has WHO baby friendly status.

Dr. Madeline Hardacre @ Clarion North has positive VBAC experience and attitude. She is an OBGYN and had her last child with the Bradley Method. We will be having a vbac with her next Jan. I had my pap with her a few months ago and we talked about all that, now I'm preggs! My first preggo appointment is in a couple of weeks... I will keep you posted.
