I am living in Los Angeles and want to have a VBAC with my next child. My first was delivered a Cedars and was a scheduled C-Section. I was told my baby was too big to birth naturally. He ended up being 10lbs 15oz.

Any suggestions on an OB? I am thinking of using the UCLA midwives. Also any doula recommendations?

Your best bet to a VBAC anywhere is probably a homebirth. I would be willing to bet that being in a hospital to begin with might have contributed significantly to your section. I have seen moms birth 12 lbers at home, safely, with midwives. A doula is a great idea, but if you really want a VBAC, contact your local hb midwives. You might also be able to grow smaller babies...

HI-
i too am planning a VBAC in Los Angeles. i just switched my care to Dr. Mark Dwight. My first meeting with him was very encouraging. He answered all of my questions before i could even ask them. He practices out of Good Samaritan hospital-in downtown L.A. I have also read great things about the UCLA midwives here. Since i live on the eastside they are not as practical for me. Good Luck....
