I third this recipe!!!!!! It's gotten to the point that I make MYSELF a double batch because I go through them so quickly! (DH is allergic to chocolate ) They would fool any non-vegan in the universe, seriously. One tip (I think she mentions this, but I'm not sure): once the cookies are cool and you are done gorging yourself on them, make sure to put them away in some kind of tupperware or something - they will get super hard/crisp if you leave them out in the air for too too long.

I just use any recipe, and use bananas in place of the eggs. It's 1/2 banana + 1/4tsp baking powder to replace each egg.

There are other options here:
http://www.foodsubs.com/Eggs.html

The Vegan With a Vengeance chocolate chip cookies are the best I've ever had. Ever. Everyone that tries them loves them. My favorite part is that they stay soft for DAYS! I always use ww pastry flour. They are absolutely delicious!

OMG. OMG. OMG. I just made these, thinking, they can't be better than my chocolate chip cookie recipe. OMG. OMG. YUM!!

So easy to make, but I did "make it my own" by increasing the chocolate chips to 1/2 cup

I like that the recipe doesn't call for tofu because I don't always have tofu around. Even though I'm vegan, I don't have that in my cupboard or fridge as a staple.

:

I made Dreena's tonight with 1/2 WW flour and you know, they were even tastier! Couldn't believe it!

I'm so going to have to try the VWAV one's now! Ooh...you hear that? That's the sound of my waistband getting tighter!

There's a lot of maple syrup in that recipe, do they not taste a bit maple-y?
I love trying different recipes out to see which are best. But, I tend to baking with maple syrup because it's so expensive.

There are 2 vegan chocolate chip cookie recipes I like, and are truthfully the first two I ever tried... but neither of them are the ones posted already. The first is SUPER easy which, in addition to them tasting great, is why I make them so often LOL. They are originally from PETA's recipe site. They taste like "homestyle" cookies to me: http://amyvegan.wordpress.com/2007/0...-chip-cookies/
The second is from the Toronto Animal Rights Society and it is very similar but uses ground flaxseed and hot water for "egg replacer."

I made these today because I forgot to buy molasses at the store. I replaced the flour with a flour blend of white flour, wheat flour and wheat germ. They were really yummy Thanks!

They don't necessarily taste maple-y but yeah, the amount of maple syrup definitely keeps me from making them often. I'll try the one you posted.
