Whatcha makin' this year?<br><br>
Every year I make lots of shortbread for gifting using Earth Balance from <a href="http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Melt---In---Your---Mouth-Shortbread/Detail.aspx" target="_blank">this recipe</a>.<br><br>
This year I am trying some new recipes from <a href="http://www.theppk.com" target="_blank">PPK</a>.<br><br>
Like <a href="http://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/index.php?RecipeID=49" target="_blank">Chocolate Orange Cupcakes</a> and <a href="http://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/index.php?RecipeID=91" target="_blank">Gingerbread Cupcakes with Lemony Frosting</a>.<br><br>
And of course I'll be making a <a href="http://www.bryannaclarkgrogan.com/page/page/1435893.htm#dessert" target="_blank">pecan</a> and pumpkin pie. (scroll down from first link for a pumpkin pie recipe.) I'm thinking of making home made truffles from a pamphlet I got on being vegan that is full of yummy recipes, but I may ditch it in order to get lots of cookies done.<br><br>
I'll also try to get a <a href="http://www.all-creatures.org/mhvs/recipes-gingerbread.html" target="_blank">gingerbread</a> <a href="http://homecooking.about.com/od/specificdishes/a/gingerbreadhous.htm" target="_blank">house</a> done with dd, and make enough fudge that we're sick of it and don't want to eat it until next year. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> And some <a href="http://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/index.php?RecipeID=196" target="_blank">gingerbread</a> and <a href="http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/pregnancy-recipes.asp?id=301" target="_blank">sugar</a> cookies for dd to decorate.<br><br>
Another crowd pleaser that I may get to is the truffle brownie mix from trader joe's brownies with peppermint frosting. I have all natural peppermint flavoring oil from our local co-op and I use it often for homemade ice cream and peppermint hot cocoa.<br><br>
So what are you baking? What about those who are anti-sugar? What are you baking/making for holiday treats? Any raw holiday goodies?
