I may be the only person on earth that detests bananas. I mean I hate them. I hate the texture, the smell, the taste and as a baby I would cry and spit out the banana baby food my mom would try to feed me. I think in a past life I was marooned on a island with only bananas to eat.

Since having kids I've gotten over the nausea I used to get from just smelling them. They are my son's most favorite food. Go figure!

I've been having a hard time finding smoothie recipes without the banana. Is there something else I could use to get that consistency without soy? I don't think soy is evil or anything I just already use plenty Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

avacado or coconut milk. I freeze cocomut milk in cubes and add them for a creamy consistency. Avacado does the same thing-it's quite good actually!
