anyone care to post a menu? I am going veg, but I am stumped on dinner. During the day it is no biggie to come up with meatless meals, but dinner revolves around meat here. At this time, I am the only one going veg (well, and the baby ) so I will still be making meat dishes. With 4 dc, dinner prep is crazy enough as it is so I am hoping to keep it simple. How do ya'll do it?

I will make a vegetarian main dish and pretty much serve it as a side dish for the family and a main dish for me. Then I will roast, bbq, skewer, grill meat for the rest of the family. That's the easiest way for me to cook. That way I'm not making 2 dinners, just one with a better alternative for me. I have also cut the families meat consumption in half. We alternate meat days. As long as the vegetarian meal is fun like bean burrito's or something along those lines we're good.

Stirfry is a great meal. I cook the meat seperate from the stirfry and add it to the plates after.

I am vegan in an omni household. Basically I have to cook a lot. I have to cook separately for myself. I don't mind too much since I like to cook, and I love making yummy vegan dishes. I do have problems handling meat, since I have an aversion to it, but I can force myself.

However if you can eat eggs and dairy it shouldn't be too hard. I would start by making a list of lacto-ovo-veggie things everyone in the house likes. Focus on those dishes. Then figure out how often they expect meat, and cook accordingly. The idea is to make as many "common" dishes as possible. Things like cereal, cookies, pizza most people like.

My family are all picky eaters, so other than bread, there are few things everyone likes to eat.
