Well, at least my water broke :). It turns out I'm a gusher, who knew?

The problem? It happened at 4:20am this morning. It's now 5:20pm and my labor has come to a crawl. I've been for 3 walks, am taking herbs, just had an acupuncturist over to my house....

Blargh - I just don't know how much more of this I can bear. Obviously, physically it's not that bad, it's the emotional fatigue that comes with being "in labor" (as in contractions that don't stop for more than 20 minutes) since Sunday.

Am I just bad at contracting?

I'm hoping the sun going down is going to help push me back into labor, otherwise I'm not sure how long the midwives will let me go on with broken waters.

Big Hugs! I hope labor starts very soon for you, I cannot imagine how maddening that is. Hopefully your mw's will just let you go and watch for signs of infection.

I wish I had words of wisdom for you, all I can say is how much I admire you for making it this far in the week with those constant contractions! Wow, I can't say enough about your determination, I am in awe. I am wishing you all the get-going-now labor vibes I can.

Aww, thanks everyone.

Turns out my midwives will let me keep going as long as my temp stays normal, baby's heartrate is good and the fluid is clear.

The thing is, honestly, there was definitely a little part of me that was hoping someone would say "yes, this will all be over in X number of hours, no matter what happens." It just seemed so nice to have a real, tangible endpoint, something I could see.

I'm going to see if I can get some sleep, maybe I'll wake up in the night with killer contractions and a baby in the morning
